Maureen “Mo” Mitchell, a native Kentuckian, had a successful career with E.F. Hutton/Smith Barney until she retired to raise her daughter.
Mo was an active civic volunteer in Kentucky serving on the board of the Speed Alliance Museum, The American Lung Association and the POA board of Nolin Lake.Mo chaired the Women’s Initiative for the Louisville United Way and was asked to speak at the national Alexis de Tocqueville meeting to assist other communities with a model for women’s giving. She has also chaired fund raising initiatives at Louisville Collegiate School and the Oxmoor Steeplechase.
After relocating to Lake Toxaway in 2007, Mo spent four years of study with Dr. Jean Houston, and advisor to NASA and the UN, in her courses, “Social Artistry and The Possible Human.” Mo served on the Lake Toxaway Community Association Board, and during her tenure acted as nomination and technology chair.
Mo has been an avid real estate investor for the last 28 years and brings her experience to buyers and sellers in the Lake Toxaway Community.In 2018, Mo was one of the top producers in Lake Toxaway.
